“The Future? Is under your feet!” is a project format conceived and promoted by Koor Benefit Corporation to support territorial development strategies and propose concrete actions aimed at promoting the social, economic and environmental development of territories and local communities.
COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT AND TERRITORIAL BRANDS
Local communities are the protagonists and main promoters of their own territory.
The framework promotes the “heri-telling” activity to build the territorial brand.
Through photos, videos, and storytelling the local knowledge keepers narrate about their traditions and creativities, culture and local production chains.
“DIGITAL CULTURE” TO PRESERVE AND TRANSMIT LOCAL CULTURAL HERITAGE TO FUTURE GENERATIONS.
The framework promotes the “digital culture” by using digital tools to preserve and transmit local cultural heritage of a territory to future generations, favoring the intergenerational dialogue and the training of the new generations in local professions and trades linked to the territory.

TERRITORIAL GROWTH AND RESILIENT COMMUNITIES
The framework encourages the participation of all levels of government, civil society, academia to identify sustainable and inclusive models to make communities resilient.
Creative and proactive entrepreneurship is the key for the growth and sustainable development of territories and local communities.
The framework “The Future? Is under your feet!” consists of 4 steps.
It is possible to plan all 4 immediately or choose to focus only on one or more steps separately, according to the objectives of the target community.
Step 1 has the dual objective of documenting the traditions and creativities of the territory (traditional knowledge linked to the creative assets of the community, to the custodians of local knowledge and to "points of interest" of the territory) and to raise awareness, at various levels, of the thematics related to protection of local heritage: Sustainable Development Goals UN2030 and European Conventions for the protection of cultural heritage.
Step 3 of the model involves schools and new generations with the aim of activating an intergenerational dialogues with the custodians of local creativity. This objective becomes achievable through the activation of learning models combined with the use of digital communication languages, learning-by-doing training, activation of Hackathon, role playing etc.
Step 2 aims to activate a plan to enhance the territory and the local heritage, developing a digital heri-tellig (heritage + digital storytelling) - local / international, based on the story of the creative people, local creativities and the context in which the creative assets develops and evolves.
This specific step foresees different proposals to be undertaken on a territory, analyzing not only the expectations of that territory but above all the results obtained in the previous design steps.
